Diego Rabelo Nonato

Graduado pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Estuda os conflitos do Oriente Médio com ênfase no conflito sírio, iniciado em 2011, e suas implicações para o patrimônio histórico e cultural. Mestre pelo Programa de pós Graduação "Memória social e patrimônio cultural" da Universidade Federal de Pelotas (UFPel/Conceito 5) tendo como objeto de estudo a destruição do patrimônio sírio como ato de guerra. Possui experiência em editorial de revista científica já desempenhando funções administrativas. Atualmente, doutorando pelo PPGMP-UFPel.

Graduated in Museology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He studies conflicts in the Middle East with an emphasis on the Syrian conflict, which started in 2011, and its implications for historical and cultural heritage. His course conclusion work has the theme "The Syrian Conflict and the risks to the heritage of the city of Palmyra", where he analyzes the occupation of Daesh (Islamic State), northeast of the capital Damascus, and its acts of destruction. Master's degree from the Graduate Program "Social memory and cultural heritage" at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) with the object of study the destruction of Syrian heritage as an act of war. He has experience in publishing a scientific journal, already performing administrative functions while receiving a scholarship for the magazine "Em Debate" (UFSC). Currently, doctoral student at PPGMP-UFPel.
