Lorena Ferreira Alves

Professora, investigadora e artista. Entre 2017 a 2021 realizou o curso de doutorado em Artes Visuais em regime de cotutela entre a Universidade de Brasília (Brasil) e Universidad de Granada (Espanha), defendendo a tese ?Artsoundveillance: hibridização entre arte sonora e arte e vigilância? como bolsista da CAPES. A produção artística desta pesquisa foi reconhecida mediante a indicação do Prêmio PIPA 2021 de Arte Contemporânea Brasileira. Trabalhou de 2018 a 2021 no MediaLab/UnB (Laboratório de Arte Computacional da Universidade de Brasília) como integrante voluntária na organização de eventos artísticos e educativos, criação de obras artísticas, montagem e mediação de exposições artísticas, e realização de oficinas e seminários voltadas ao tema da arte e tecnologia. Dentre os eventos organizados, os que se destacam são o #ART (Encontro Internacional de Arte e Tecnologia), que ocorre anualmente no Museu Nacional da República (Brasília) e a exposição Interfaces Computacionais Afetivas realizada no Sesc Gama em 2019. Publicou inúmeros artigos científicos sobre arte e dataveillance em eventos de arte e humanidades, como os eventos SIIMI (Simpósio Internacional de Inovação em Mídias Interativas), HDRio (Congresso Internacional em Humanidades Digitais) e #ART (Encontro Internacional de Arte e Tecnologia). Finalizou o Mestrado em Música pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (Brasil) em 2014 defendendo a dissertação intitulada "Circulação Musical via Internet e Suas Implicações: Formação Do Repertório Musical Homogeneizado e Personalizado sobre a distribuição dos sites Deezer e Last.Fm", como bolsista da CAPEs. Os resultados desta investigação também foram publicadas no livro ?Circulação musical sob medida: a formação do repertório personalizado no ciberespaço?.Graduou-se em Música - Habilitação em Ensino Musical Escolar pela Universidade Federal de Goiás e trabalhou como professora de música (teoria musical, violão e guitarra elétrica) na Escola do Futuro em Artes Basileu França (Goiânia). É membro do Coletivo Nômade Lab, um coletivo de arte sonoro-visual com foco em improvisação ao vivo, mesclando sons e imagens criados através de computadores (utilizando linguagens de programação para live coding). Dentre as performances realizados estão a Performance Nômade Lab no Caixa Cultural de Brasília em 2020 e Brasília Mapping Festival no Museu Nacional da República em Brasília em 2019.

Teacher, researcher and artist. Between 2017 and 2021 she did her PhD course in Visual Arts in a joint supervised program between the University of Brasilia (Brazil) and Universidad de Granada (Spain), defending the thesis "Artsoundveillance: hybridization between sound art and art and surveillance" as a CAPES scholarship holder. The artistic production of this research was recognized through the nomination of the PIPA 2021 Brazilian Contemporary Art Award. She worked from 2018 to 2021 at MediaLab/UnB (Computational Art Laboratory of the University of Brasilia) as a volunteer member in the organization of artistic and educational events, creation of artistic works, assembly and mediation of artistic exhibitions, and realization of workshops and seminars focused on the theme of art and technology. Among the events organized, the ones that stand out are #ART (International Meeting of Art and Technology), which takes place annually at the National Museum of the Republic (Brasilia) and the exhibition Affective Computational Interfaces held at Sesc Gama in 2019. She has published numerous scientific articles on art and dataveillance in art and humanities events, such as SIIMI (International Symposium of Innovation in Interactive Media), HDRio (International Congress in Digital Humanities) and #ART (International Meeting of Art and Technology). As a CAPEs scholarship finished her Master in Music from the Federal University of Goiás (Brazil) in 2014 defending the dissertation entitled Musical Circulation via Internet and Its Implications: Homogenized and Personalized Music Repertoire Formation on the distribution of the Deezer and Last.Fm websites. The results of this research were also published in the book "Tailored music circulation: the formation of personalized repertoire in cyberspace". She graduated in Music in the Federal University of Goiás and worked as a music teacher (music theory, guitar and electric guitar) at the Basileu França School of the Future in Arts (Goiânia). She is a member of Coletivo Nômade Lab, a sound-visual art collective focused on live improvisation, mixing sounds and images created through computers (using programming languages for live coding). Among the performances held are Performance Nômade Lab at Caixa Cultural of Brasilia in 2020 and Brasilia Mapping Festival at National Museum of the Republic in Brasilia in 2019.
