Graduada em Medicina pela Pontifícia na Universidade Católica em 1970, Residência Médica pelo Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (1971-1972), Curso de Sanitarista pela Faculdade de Saúde Pública (1973), Mestrado e Doutorado pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo, Mestrado com a Dissertação: Valor do urocitograma na investigação endócrina de crianças e adolescentes e Doutorado com a Tese: Estudo de um modelo de atendimento à mulher adolescente no Sistema Público de Saúde de 1999. Participante do primeiro ambulatório de ginecologia infanto-puberal no hospital das clínicas em 1971, Fundadora do Primeiro Ambulatório de Ginecologia da Adolescência da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo ? FMUSP em 1993. Coordenadora do primeiro Programa de Saúde da Adolescência do Estado de São Paulo 1987. Participante da primeira Assembleia de Constituição da Associação Latino Americana de Obstetrícia e Ginecologia Infantil e da Adolescência. Diretora da Comissão Cientifica da SOGIA. Recebeu premiações nacionais e internacionais de ginecologia. Coautora do 1º livro infanto-puberal em 1975 e autora de 10 livros. Exerce função de Coordenadora do Programa Saúde do Adolescente do Estado de São Paulo e desde 2015 é Coordenadora Estadual de Politicas para Mulher.
