Bacharel em Física pela Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF 1984.Representante do Brasil no Foro Iberoamericano de Reguladores de Segurança Nuclear e Radiológica de 2007 a 2016.Coordenador Técnico da área de Segurança de Reatores na Cooperação Binacional Brasil - Argentina em Energia Nuclear - COBEN de 2008 a 2016.Coordenador Técnico do Programa de Informação Pública em Energia Nuclear - PIPEN nas cidades de Angra dos Reis e Paraty de 2005 a 2016.Membro efetivo da Banca de Licenciamento de Operadores - BLOP da Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear desde 1999.Tecnologista Sênior da Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear, atuando atualmente na área de Avaliação Probabilística de Segurança - APS.Atuo desde 2005 na área de Avaliação de Risco, Análise de Segurança e Engenharia de Confiabilidade de Sistemas Complexos e Instalações Nucleares, desenvolvendo ainda atividades relacionadas com o Licenciamento de Instalações Nucleares e seus Operadores, presidindo ou compondo comitês de normas na área de reatores nucleares. Tenho experiência na elaboração de planejamentos estratégicos, mais precisamente na formulação de políticas de segurança e desenvolvimento nacionais através da aplicação do Método para Planejamento da Ação Política.
