Suely Ruiz Giolo

Possui Licenciatura em Matemática e Bacharelado em Estatística pela UNESP de Pres. Prudente (SP), Mestrado em Estatística pela UNICAMP e Doutorado em Estatística e Experimentação Agronômica pela ESALQ/USP, com período sanduíche no Departamento de Matemática e Estatística da Universidade de Lancaster, Inglaterra, UK. Realizou Pós-Doutorado em Bioestatística (Métodos Estatísticos em Genética e Genômica) na Universidade de São Paulo (InCor/USP e IME/USP) com período na Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. Professora do Departamento de Estatística da Universidade Federal do Paraná de 1993 a 2020. Atualmente é Professora Colaboradora em Programas de Pós-Graduação da UFPR e de outras Instituições de Ensino Superior. Coautora do livro Análise de Sobrevivência Aplicada (Editora Blucher, Projeto Fisher ABE) e autora do livro Introdução à Análise de Dados Categóricos com Aplicações (Editora Blucher, Projeto Fisher ABE). Principais áreas de pesquisa: métodos estatísticos para a análise de dados de sobrevivência e de dados categóricos.

She holds a Degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics from UNESP, Pres. Prudente (SP), Master in Statistics from UNICAMP and PhD in Statistics and Agronomic Experimentation from ESALQ/USP, with a period at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Lancaster, England, UK. She held a Post-Doctorate in Biostatistics (Statistical Methods in Genetics and Genomics) at the University of São Paulo (InCor / USP and IME / USP) with a period at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. She was Professor at the Department of Statistics at the Federal University of Paraná from 1993 to 2020. She is currently a Collaborating Professor in Graduate Programs at UFPR and other Higher Education Institutions. Co-author of the book entitled "Applied Survival Analysis" (Editora Blucher, Fisher ABE Project) and author of the book entitled "Introduction to Categorical Data Analysis with Applications" (Editora Blucher, Fisher ABE Project). Her main areas of research are: Statistical methods for the analysis of survival data and categorical data.
