Danielle Ribeiro de Barros

Possui graduação em Agronomia pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2001), mestrado (Fitopatologia) pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2003), doutorado em Fitopatologia (2007) e pós-doutorados pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2009) e pelo Centro de Investigação das Ferrugens do Cafeeiro (Portugal). Desde 2009 é professora da Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Tem experiência nas área de Fitopatologia, com ênfase em Virologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Geminivirus, ilarvírus, Biologia molecular e VIGS. Tem como interesse o estudo de caracterização de vírus que infectam fruteiras (ameixa, pêssego e videira), batata e batata-doce e erva-mate. Foi tutora do grupo PET agronomia UFPEL de 2016 até setembro de 2022.

She holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (2001), a master's degree (Phytopathology) from the Federal University of Viçosa (2003), a PhD in Phytopathology (2007) and post-doctoral degrees from the Federal University of Viçosa (2009) and the Center for Research on Coffee tree rust (Portugal). Since 2009 she has been a professor at the Federal University of Pelotas. She has experience in the area of Phytopathology, with an emphasis on Virology, working mainly on the following topics: Geminivirus, ilarvirus, Molecular Biology and VIGS. She is interested in studying the characterization of viruses that infect fruit trees (plum, peach and vine), potato and sweet potato and yerba mate. She was a tutor at the PET agronomy UFPEL group from 2016 to September 2022.
