I have interest in developing novel catalysts for application in industry by using various characterisation techniques to determine the structure and activity of catalysts. I recently developed a novel catalyst for the oxidation of CO which was patented due to its thermal resistance to high temperatures while remaining catalytically active even at ambient temperatures. I am currently a researcher at the LNLS working in the X-ray diffraction group developing new catalysts as well as new instrumentation to conduct advanced in-situ and in-operando diffraction studies at the LNLS.
