Judit Herrera Ortuno

Master (2016) and Doctor (2021) in Rural Development by the Graduate Program in Rural Development at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - PGDR/UFRGS, with a sandwich period (2018-2019) at Wageningen School of Social Sciences at Wageningen University and Research - WASS/WUR, in the Netherlands. She holds a specialization in International Development (2002) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-UPC, Spain; in Biological Science Teaching Methodology (2021) and Methodologies for Distance Education (2022), both from UNIASSELVI. He holds a Full Degree in Biology (2002) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona - UAB, in Spain, a diploma revalidated in Brazil as a Degree in Biological Sciences (2017) from UFRGS, and a Short Degree in Sociology (2022) from UNIASSELVI. She is part of the Innovation, Society and Eco-territorialities Research Group - GRIST/UFRGS, and the Reference Circle in Agroecology, Sociobiodiversity, Sovereignty and Food and Nutrition Security - ASSSAN CR/UFRGS, having worked as a researcher in the Cooperation, Creativity and Sociobiodiversity projects. : a gender issue (2018-2022); PANexus: governance of sociobiodiversity for water, energy and food security in the Southern Atlantic Forest (2018-2021); and Women and Biodiversity: Medicinal Plants, Knowledge and Collective Learning in Southern Brazil (2013-2016). She researches issues related to socio-environmental dynamics, gender, social practices, territorialities, agroecology and socio-biodiversity.

Integra o Grupo de Pesquisa Inovação, Sociedade e Eco-territorialidades - GRIST/UFRGS, e o Círculo de Referência em Agroecologia, Sociobiodiversidade, Soberania e Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional - ASSSAN CR/UFRGS, tendo atuado como pesquisadora nos projetos Cooperação, criatividade e sociobiodiversidade: uma questão de gênero (2018-2022); PANexus: governança da sociobiodiversidade para as seguranças hídrica, energética e alimentar na Mata Atlântica Sul (2018-2021); e Mulheres e Biodiversidade: plantas medicinais, conhecimento e aprendizagem coletiva no Sul do Brasil (2013-2016).
