MARIA MADALENA FERREIRA, Geografa, Professora Aposentada em 2014 pela Universidade Federal de Rondônia (Brasil-Amazônia Ocidental). Graduada pela Universidade de São Paulo-FFLCH (1982), Mestre em Geografia e Pratica de Ensino pela USP-FFLCH (1996) e Doutorado em Desenvolvimento Regional e Planejamento Ambiental pela UNESP-PP (2003). No Departamento de Geografia-UNIR, ministrei diversas disciplinas, tais como: Geografia Física do Brasil, Geografia de Rondônia, Geografia da Amazônia, Planejamento em Geografia, Planejamento Participativo, Análise Ambiental, Geografia Urbana, Educação Ambiental, Pratica de Ensino em Geografia, Aerofotogrametria e Fotointerpretação, Cartografia Sistemática, Temática e Cartografia Táctil, Cartografia Digital, SIG, Sensoriamento Remoto, EIA-RIMA, PRAD, SGA, SGQ, AA (Auditoria Ambiental) ESG (Environmental, Social And Governance) e Tecnologias Digitais aplicadas à gestão e monitoramento de bacias hidrográficas, turismo e gestao urbana. No momento sou Pesquisadora Colaboradora junto ao (www.cegot.pt) (Laboratório Centro de Estudos Geográficos e Ordenamento do Território da Universidade de Coimbra) onde realizo pesquisa de Pós-Doutorado em Gestão de Resíduos Sólidos em Portugal/Agenda 2030/ODS e Economia Circular. Em Rondônia participo como voluntaria junto ao Fórum Lixo e Cidadania (FLC) em apoio à inclusao social dos catadores e catadoras de resíduos sólidos. Desenvolvo orientação acadêmica a alunos universitários, quanto ao planejamento e metodologia cientifica. Apoio pesquisas experimentais para o aproveitamento da embalagem TETRAPACK, visando à fabricação de uma manta de isolamento térmico?. Consultora independente na área Planejamento Participativo e Gestão de Projetos em Cidades Resilientes.

MARIA MADALENA FERREIRA, Geographer at the University of São Paulo-FFLCH (1982) Master's degree in Geography and Teaching Practice from USP-FFLCH (1996) and PhD in Regional Development and Environmental Planning from UNESP-Presidente Prudente (2003). I retired in 2014 from the Federal University of Rondônia (Brazil-Western Amazon). In the Course of Geography-UNITE, I have given several disciplines in the Geography Course such as: Physical Geography of Brazil, Geography of Rondônia, Geography of the Amazon, Planning in Geography, Planning and Environmental Analysis, Environmental Education, Practice of Teaching in Geography, Aerophotogrammetry and Photointerpretation, Systematic and Thematic Cartography, Digital Cartography, GIS, Remote Sensing, EIA-RIMA, PRAD, SGA, SGQ, Environmental Audit and Digital Technologies applied to management and river basin monitoring and environmental monitoring. At the moment I am an Integrated Researcher with the Laboratory Center for Geographical Studies and Spatial Planning (www.cegot.pt) (University of Coimbra) where I carry out post-Doc research, on Public Policies and Solid Waste Management in Portugal-Council of Coimbra-like case study. In Rondônia I participate as a volunteer with the Garbage and Citizenship Forum (FLC) in support of cooperatives and associations of waste pickers and waste pickers in the State of Rondônia and guide student of the Production Engineering Course in a project for "the use of Tetrapack packaging, aiming at the manufacture of a thermal insulation blanket". I develop research in Circular Economics. Eventually I provide independent consulting in the area Planning, Management, Monitoring and Environmental Audit. I guide academic work from various areas of knowledge.
