Jan Alyne Barbosa e Silva

Associate Professor II at the Faculty of Communication at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Member of the Research Group on Semiotics and Communication Culture (GPESC, UFRGS/UFBA). Teaches and researches on (the teaching of) communication with the goal to digital and multimodal literacy. Annotation, semiotics of multimodal discourse, pragmatics, (socio)linguistics and visualities (Image-Text relations) are subjects of interest of her most recent research. Trajectory of research has happily been revised and redesigned, on the occasion of the postdoctoral fellowship held at Bremen Universität (2018-2019), and currently focused on the analysis (and modelling) of (digital) multimodal discourse artifacts/genres.

Professora Associada II da Faculdade de Comunicação da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). Membro do GPESC-BA (Grupo de Pesquisa em Comunicação e Semiótica) e coordenadora do Laboratório e Grupo de Estudos em Multimodalidade (LAB-G-MODO). Leciona, pesquisa e se dedica a projetos voltados ao letramento computacional, multimodal e transmidiático. Anotação, transmidialidade, pragmática, (sócio)linguística, visualidades (Relações entre imagem e texto verbal), diagramas, Inteligência Artificial, cognição espacial e psicologia das formas são temas caros de interesse de sua pesquisa mais recente. Trajetória de pesquisa revista e redesenhada, por ocasião do pós-doutorado realizado na Bremen Universität (2018-2019), e atualmente dedicada à formalização de gêneros, artefatos e discursos multimodais.
