Doutora em Engenharia Geotécnica pela Universidade de São Paulo (EESC/USP), com período sanduíche na University of Texas at Austin (UTEXAS). Realizou estágio pós-doutoral na Universidade de São Paulo em 2016 e na University of Texas at Austin em 2022. É Professora Adjunta do Departamento de Engenharia Civil e do Programa de Pós-graduação em Engenharia Civil da Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). É bolsista Produtividade CNPq e coordena projetos de pesquisa CNPq Universal e FAPESP e FAPEAM. Pesquisa temas relacionados à desempenho de Geossintéticos em infraestrutura de pavimentos e obras ambientais. Atua como revisora na Geosynthetics International, Geotextiles and Geomembranes, Soils and Rocks e International Journal of Pavement Engineering. É membro Titutar do Conselho de Pesquisa da UFSCar e assessora da FAPESP. É membro dos Technical Committees Barrier (TC-B) e Stabilization (TC-S) da International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) e membro da Associação Brasileira de Mecânica dos Solos e Engenharia Geotécnica (ABMS). Foi Secretária na Associação Brasileira de Geossintéticos (IGS Brasil) de 2015 a 2023.
Dr. Natalia de Souza Correia is Professor of Civil Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar), in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Natalia received her Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo (EESC/USP), with a sandwich period at the University of Texas at Austin (UTEXAS), United States. She is B.S. (Civil Engineering) at UNESP Ilha Solteira and M.S. (Geotechnical Engineering) at the University of Sao Paulo (EESC/USP). Has experience in research, teaching and consulting in the fields of Geotechnical and Pavement Engineering. Her research expertise includes: (1) geotechnical engineering, (2) geosynthetics, (2) soil improvement and (3) asphalt reinforcement. She is also author of more than 20 journal papers and 40 full conference papers (with h-index of 7 and more than 150 citations). Serves the International Society of Geosynthetics (Brazilian Chapter) as General Secretary for 6 years and participates in Technical Committees of Geosynthetics.
