Carlos Alexandre de Sousa Penin

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1994), Masters (2000) and Ph.D. (2008) in Electrical Engineering also from the University of São Paulo. He is currently a Planning Analyst, Management and Infrastructure in the IBGE. He used to be an associated engineer and commercial manager at Daimon Engenharia e Sistemas Ltda and was previously Coordinator of the ENERQ (Computing Centre of Studies in Regulation and Power Quality). He has experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Electricity Distribution, acting on the following topics: quality of supply, planning, investment, market and non-technical losses of energy.

possui graduação em Engenharia de Eletricidade pela Universidade de São Paulo (1994), Mestrado (2000) e Doutorado (2008) em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente é Analista de Planejamento, Gestão e Infraestrutura no IBGE. Foi engenheiro associado e Gerente Comercial da Daimon Engenharia e Sistemas Ltda e anteriormente foi Coordenador de Informatica do ENERQ (Centro de Estudos Em Regulação e Qualidade de Energia). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Distribuição de Energia Elétrica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: qualidade de fornecimento, planejamento, investimentos, mercado e perdas não-técnicas de energia.
