My main research interests are cancer surveillance, cancer epidemiology, cancer registry, health disparities, survival analysis and screening program evaluation, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. To broaden my understanding and skillset, I spearheaded the implementation of Based-population Cancer Registry in Barretos region (São Paulo, Brazil), and utilized the database to my PhD project, spanning the time trends analysis (2000-2017) of cancer incidence and cancer mortality. I presently hold a postdoctoral research scientist position at Cancer Surveillance Group (CSU), International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization. Previously, I was coordinator of a Hospital-based Cancer Registry at Barretos Cancer Hospital, the largest and most recognized cancer hospital in Brazil; and coordinator of a Population-based Cancer Registry of Barretos Region (São Paulo, Brazil).
