O presente estudo analisa a criação e implementação do Programa de Assistência Integral à Saúde da Mulher no Rio de Janeiro, sob o olhar daquelas que participaram ativamente nesse processo. O recorte histórico da análise se situa desde a criação, em 1983, até 1995, ano da Conferência de Beijing, que ratificou os direitos das mulheres e imprimiu, a partir desse momento, mudanças em relação ao programa estudado. O foco da análise será nos testemunhos das ativistas sobre o processo, que fornecerá elementos para uma interpretação da conjuntura histórica que tanto envolvia a criação do programa, quanto mudava o cenário político e social brasileiro. Com isso, pretendo buscar os limites que o programa possuía em relação à sua proposta e situá-lo frente a um complexo cenário histórico no qual estava inserido.
This study examines the creation and implementation of the Program of Integral Assistance to Women's Health in Rio de Janeiro, under the gaze of those who actively participated in this process. The historical analysis lies since the creation in 1983 until 1995, the year of the Beijing Conference, which endorsed the rights of women and printed, from that time, changes in the program studied. The focus of the analysis will be the testimony of activists on the process, providing input to an interpretation of the historical context that both involved the creation of the program, as the changed political and social scenario in Brazil. With that, I intend to seek the limits that the program had regarding their proposal and place it against a complex historical setting in which it was inserted.
