A impressão 3D veio para revolucionar diversos setores da economia, funcionando como uma importante ferramenta para várias aplicações, tais como medicina, engenharia estrutural, indústria automobilística, arquitetura, e assim por diante. Com o avanço desta tecnologia, surgiu também uma gama de problemas relacionados à aquisição, representação, armazenamento, recuperação e comparação de dados 3D. No presente trabalho é proposto um modelo matemático, o qual torna possível tanto a restauração de uma série de objetos como a fabricação de novos modelos, a partir de simples imagens 2D, previamente adquiridas, tratadas e formatadas. O código elaborado se encontra na linguagem MATLAB (Versão R2015b), a impressora utilizada foi a CubePro (Modelo 401733). Como forma de validação do código, foram impressos protótipos referentes à três adornos encontrados no berço de um dos filhos da Princesa Isabel, o qual se encontra em exposição no Museu Imperial de Petrópolis. Os protótipos produzidos foram considerados satisfatórios, possibilitando o posterior envio ao museu.
The 3D printing has come to revolutionize a lot of sectors of the economy, working as an important tool for various applications such as medicine, structural engineering, automobile industry, architecture, among other things. With the advancement of this technology, there is also a range of problems related to the acquisition, representation, storage, retrieval and comparison of 3D data. In the present work a mathematical model is proposed, which makes possible both the restoration of a series of objects and the fabrication of new models, from simple 2D images, previously acquired, treated and formatted. The elaborated code is in the MATLAB language (Version R2015b), the printer used was the CubePro (Model 401733). Such algorithm presents a series of scopes, all of which are explained and clarified here. As a way for the validation of the code, prototypes were printed referring to three adornments found in the cradle of one of the children of Princess Isabel, which is found today in the Imperial Museum of Petrópolis. The prototypes produced were considered satisfactory, making possible the later shipment to the museum.
