Com a ampliação do domínio e do alcance que a imagem empreende como linguagem, através das novas tecnologias e das demandas do mundo contemporâneo, este trabalho visa a inserir o estudo da imagem, em suas múltiplas acepções e possibilidades, na dinâmica das aulas de Língua Portuguesa, dentro do espaço privilegiado que é a escola. Considera-se tal ambiente propício, já que a expressividade da Língua Portuguesa é muitas vezes viabilizada e representada por meio das figuras de linguagem, estudadas em diversos segmentos do percurso escolar. This work aims at introducing the study of image and its multiple meanings and possibilities into the dynamics of Portuguese classes in the privileged context of school, since image magnifies the domain and reach of the language through the new technologies and demands of the contemporary world. The school environment was chosen because the expressiveness of the Portuguese language is frequently made possible and represented through figures of speech, studied in several segments of the schooling process.
