Esta pesquisa reflete sobre as reformas sociais implementadas durante os governos do então presidente Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2010), especificamente as políticas públicas desenvolvidas no Ministério da Cultura na gestão de Gilberto Gil (2003-2008), para pensar sobre possíveis conexões e diálogos com a trajetória do artista Paulo Nazareth. Em primeiro lugar, essa pesquisa apresenta um panorama comentado do momento político proposto, com foco na gestão do ex-presidente Lula, bem como da importância simbólica de sua própria figura em ocupar o cargo de chefe do Executivo do país. Em seguida, o trabalho apresenta a trajetória do artista visual Paulo Nazareth e do artista e então ministro de Estado Gilberto Gil para que eventuais semelhanças das práticas governamentais e artísticas sejam comparadas. Por fim, essa dissertação busca apresentar os pontos em comum de um ministro da cultura e de um artista, ressalvadas as devidas proporções, em um contexto de grande mudança na história brasileira
This research reflects on the social reforms implemented during the governments of President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (2003-2010), specifically the public policies developed by the Ministry of Culture in the management of Gilberto Gil (2003-2008), to think about possible connections and dialogues with the costume of the artist Paulo Nazareth. In the first place, this investigation presents a commented panorama of the proposed political moment, with a focus on the management of former President Lula, as the symbolic importance of his own figure in the position of Chief Executive Officer of the country. Next, or work, he presents the costume of visual artist Paulo Nazareth and the artist and then Minister of State Gilberto Gil so that eventual semelhanças of government and artistic practices are compared. Finally, this discourse seeks to present the common points of a minister of culture and an artist, saved as proportional lives, in a context of great change in Brazilian history
