Esta pesquisa, que tem como foco a literatura de cordel, busca elucidar sua importância na contemporaneidade, para além de mero gênero literário, na medida em que ao longo do tempo vem assumindo novas funções sem perder seu tônus cultural nem se aprisionar em espaço e tempo definidos. Sob essa perspectiva, entendemos a literatura de cordel como obra em contínua reelaboração que, renovando seus autores, se oferece ao olhar não apenas antropológico ou literário, mas ao olhar da arte. Buscamos, portanto, destacar a literatura de cordel como um relevante artefato da cultura contemporânea. Para tanto, tentamos recorrer a fontes e exemplos e dedicar-lhe um pensamento multifocal que abraçasse o caráter dinâmico do seu processo e captasse a sua constante mutação atualizadora para afirmar a sua integração à rede de produções culturais que corporificam a contemporaneidade. Procuramos não reduzir a pesquisa apenas à oralidade ou ao estudo da construção técnica dos versos e estrofes de rima e métrica mas também alcançar sua potência estética observável em sua poética e destacar a atualidade desse aspecto, central à arte, tanto no texto quanto nas imagens dos folhetos.
The research focused on the string literature seeks to elucidate its role in contemporary literary genre as well as across the time has taken on new functions without losing its cultural tone or imprison themselves in space and time defined. From this perspective, we understand the string literature as a work in continual reworking that renewing its authors, looks not only to offer an anthropological or literary sight, but also an artistic vision. We seek, therefore, highlight the string literature as an important artifact of contemporary culture. For this, we tried to use sources, examples and to dedicate a multifocal thought that would embrace the dynamic nature of its process and would capture its modern changing to affirm their integration into the network of cultural productions that embody the contemporary. We seek not only to narrow the search to the study of orality and technical construction of the verses and stanzas - of rhyme and meter - but to reach its aesthetic and observable power in its poetic and highlight the present of this aspect, central to the Art, both in text and the images of the leaflets.
