A medicalização da sociedade é um fenômeno que tem sido sinalizado por vários autores desde o século XIX, quando o saber científico se espalhava pelos vários domínios sociais. Mas foi a partir da década de 1940, com a introdução dos psicofármacos, que este fenômeno tornou-se cada vez mais intrusivo na vida cotidiana. A discussão que se pretende aqui diz respeito ao processo de medicalização da existência que vem se constituindo na nossa contemporaneidade, tomando como base analisadora uma fenomenologia dos discursos desta medicalização na forma de tecnificação do viver cotidiano. Ao pensar a relação entre medicamento e tecnologia queremos problematizar o aprisionamento quase total da vida nas malhas de uma lógica técnica que pretende entender a existência humana por princípios deterministas. Queremos debater de que forma este discurso tem alcançado tamanha evidência e repercussão na sociedade contemporânea e estabelecido padrões de comportamento em relação ao uso indiscriminado de psicofármacos. Entender a relação entre medicamentos e tecnologia nos parece possível e, sobretudo, necessário tendo em vista que toda a atividade humana parece estar afinada por um único diapasão totalitário: a razão tecnológica. Percebemos que o homem moderno parece estabelecer com a técnica uma relação instrumental e utilitária em busca não apenas de um viver satisfatório, mas, essencialmente, de uma solução para quase todos os seus problemas. Há, portanto, a implicação de uma prática social, que por meio de todo um aparato tecnológico, tem transformado a vida cotidiana num problema médico-farmacológico e é esta prática que pretendemos compreender. Privilegiaremos em nossa pesquisa a investigação fenomenológica por acreditarmos que a mesma propõe-se a identificar estruturas significativas, a partir da vivência cotidiana. Esta vivência cotidiana foi investigada através do discurso expresso em entrevistas realizadas com usuários dos Serviços de Psicologia Aplicada na cidade do Rio de Janeiro através das instituições de ensino superior. Procuraremos elucidar o quanto esse modo de pensar técnico atravessa o viver contemporâneo, transformando situações, antes consideradas naturais de serem enfrentadas durante a vida, em episódios que merecem ser tratados e solucionados por um conjunto de saberes ávidos em responder os dilemas do existir humano
The medicalization of society is a phenomenon that has been flagged by several authors since the nineteenth century, when scientific knowledge was spread by several social areas. But it was from the 1940s, with the introduction of psychotropic drugs, that this phenomenon has become ever more intrusive in daily life. The discussion that is intended here is about the process of medicalization of existence that is becoming in our contemporary times, taking as a analyzing basis a phenomenology of the speeches this medication in the form of technification of daily life. In thinking about the relationship between medicine and technology we problematize the trapping almost total of life in the meshes of a logic technique that you want to understand the human existence by deterministic principles. We discuss how this discourse has achieved such evidence and impact on contemporary society and established patterns of behavior in relation to the indiscriminate use of psychotropic drugs. Understand the relationship between drugs and technology seem possible and, above all, necessary with a view that all human activity seems to be tweaked by a single tuning fork totalitarian: a technological reason. We realized that the modern man seems to establish with the technique an instrumental relationship and utilitarian in search not only of a live satisfactory, but, essentially, a solution for almost all of its problems. Therefore, there is the implication of a social practice, that by means of a whole technological apparatus, have transformed the daily life in a medical problem-pharmacological and is this practice that we understand. We will emphasize in our research the phenomenological research because we believe that the same proposes to identify significant structures, from the routine life. This routine life was investigated by speech expressed in interviews with users o f the services of Applied Psychology in the city of Rio de Janeiro through the institutions of higher education. We seek to elucidate how this way of thinking about technical crosses the live contemporary, transforming situations, before considered natural to be faced during the life, in episodes that deserve to be treated and solved by a set of knowledge are eager to answer the dilemmas of human existence
