A fibromialgia é uma síndrome reumática que atinge principalmente mulheres, sendo caracterizada principalmente por dor musculoesquelética crônica e difusa e por 11 de 18 pontos dolorosos à palpação (tender points). O diagnóstico da síndrome é predominantemente clínico e caracterizado pela ausência de substrato anatômico, o que pode promover uma conturbada relação médico-paciente, pois a racionalidade médica ocidental reconhece a legitimidade de patologias a partir dos exames bioquímicos e radiológicos. As práticas corporais de saúde apontam para a existência de sentidos e significados relativos à saúde e à vida social em geral, compreendendo o movimento humano dotado de valores, desejos e significados socioculturais. Diante da crise ética e epistemológica da saúde os estudos ressaltam a importância das práticas corporais de saúde para pessoas com doenças crônicas não transmissíveis (DCNTs). Práticas corporais de saúde estão sendo utilizadas como terapêutica não farmacológica para pacientes com fibromialgia. O objetivo do presente estudo foi compreender os sentidos atribuídos às práticas corporais de saúde por pacientes diagnosticados com fibromialgia. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevistas abertas com os 8 (oito) pacientes do PRACORSAU e de observação não-sistemática. A metodologia de análise dos dados utilizada foi a análise da ordem do discurso na perspectiva de Michel Foucault. Os discursos apontaram sentidos relacionados ao acolhimento, ao vínculo, à longitudinalidade do cuidado, à resolutividade em saúde, à vitalidade e até mesmo à interdisciplinaridade
Fibromyalgia is a rheumatic syndrome that mainly affects women, , being characterized primarily by diffuse and chronic musculoskeletal pain and 11 of 18 tender points on palpation.The diagnosis of the syndrome is predominantly clinical and characterized by the absence of anatomical substrate, which can promote a troubled relationship between the doctor and the patient, because biomedicine recognizes the legitimacy of diseases through biochemical and radiological exams. The corporal practices of health point to the existence of senses and meanings related to health and social life in general, comprising human movement endowed with values, desires and socio-cultural meanings. Given the ethical and epistemology crisis of health studies highlights the importance of corporal practices of helath for people with chronic non-communicable diseases. Corporal practices of health are being used as non-pharmacological therapy for patients with fibromyalgia. The aim of this research project was to understand the senses attributed to corporal practices of health from the perspective of patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The collection of data was conducted through open in-depth interview with the 8 (eight) patients of the PRACORSAU and non-systematic observation. The data analysis methodology was the discourse analysis in Michel Foucault perspective. The discourses pointed out meanings related to the reception, the attachment, the longitudinality of the care, the resolutiveness in health, the vitality and even the interdisciplinarity
