Para o cálculo do transporte de calor sensível na estratosfera inferior, usamos dados médio nos pontos da grade de 100mb e dados diários de 30mb sob forma de cartas sinóticas analisadas nos dias selecionados em inverno e primavera. Obtivemos a direção e intensidade do transporte, apontamos a dominância de certos harmônicos estacionários e transitórios na estratosfera inferior. Discutimos também os dois aquecimentos fracos em meados de inverno e o aquecimento final nos fins da primavera. Na estratosfera superior usamos dados de 4 estações de foguetes do Hemisfério Sul, a fim de calcularmos o transporte de calor sensível. O transporte geralmente e pequeno em todas as estações durante o verão. No inverno, entretanto, há grande transporte no sentido do polo sul nas estações situadas nas latitudes altas.
The sensible heat transport in the lower stratosphere has been calculated using the mean grid point data of the 100mb and the daily data of 30mb analyzed charts for a few days in winter and spring. The direction and intensity of the transport has been obtained and the dominance of certain stationary and transient harmonics in the lower stratosphere is pointed out. Two mild warmings during the mid winter and the final warming during the late spring were discussed. In the upper stratosphere the sensible heat transport has been calculated using the data of four Southern Hemisphere rocket stations. The transport is generally small at all the stations during the summer. In winter, however, there is a large transport towards the pole at high latitude stations.
