This group is highly multidisciplinary and the research spans from physics to clinical medicine. The main area is undestanding the pathology of atherosclerosis and the role of modified lipoproteins. Within the future goal is to develop diagnostics and vaccine. In addition we study the impact of medication in immunepathology of coronary diseases. The laboartory is associated to INCT-Fluidos Complex and member of INCT-INAMI. The quality of the group and its scientific penetrance can easily be evaluated by Curriculo Lattes.Myself as Lider has a Factor H =23 and around 3000 citations. Some of which have been cited during more than 25 years.
