Amanda Thomaz Cavalcanti

Museologist of the Museology Section (SEMU) of the National Museum / UFRJ, coordinates the creative process of the institution's future long-term exhibitions. Since 2020 she is a doctoral student in the Postgraduate Program in Museology and Heritage - UNIRIO / MAST, supervised by Tereza Cristina Moletta Scheiner. Master in Visual Arts from PPGAV / EBA / UFRJ, supervised by Prof. Dr. Sonia Gomes Pereira (2018). Graduated in Museology at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO (2015). She received a scholarship from the Young Cience Talents Program - CAPES and a Scientific Initiation scholarship - CNPq, guided by Prof. Dr. Ivan Coelho de Sá. She interned at the National Museum of Fine Arts in the Brazilian Drawing and Painting collections and has professional experience in research and cataloging of artistic collections.

Museóloga da Seção de Museologia (SEMU) do Museu Nacional/UFRJ, atua na coordenação do processo criativo das futuras exposições de longa duração da instituição. Desde 2020 é doutoranda do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Museologia e Patrimônio - UNIRIO/MAST, orientanda de Tereza Cristina Moletta Scheiner. Mestre em Artes Visuais pelo PPGAV/EBA/UFRJ, orientada pela Prof.ª Dr.ª Sonia Gomes Pereira (2018). Graduada em Museologia pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO (2015). Foi bolsista do Programa Jovens Talentos - CAPES e bolsista de Iniciação Científica - CNPq, orientada pelo Prof. Dr. Ivan Coelho de Sá. Estagiou no Museu Nacional de Belas Artes nas coleções de Desenho e Pintura Brasileira e tem experiência profissional em atividades de pesquisa e catalogação de acervos artísticos.
