Welflen Ricardo Nogueira Santos

Nasceu em São Luís-MA, Brasil, em 1979. Possui cursos técnico/profissionalizante em Eletrotécnica e graduação em Engenharia Elétrica Industrial pelo Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica do Maranhão, São Luís-MA, Brasil, em 1998 e 2004, respectivamente. Possui títulos de Mestrado e Doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, Campina Grande-PB, Brasil, em 2006 e 2010, respectivamente. Atualmente é Professor Associado da Universidade Federal do Piauí, Teresina-PI, Brasil. Trabalhou com Coordenador de Manutenção do Hospital Universitário da Universidade Federal do Piauí, Teresina-PI, Brasil, de 2011 a 2013. Esteve na China, como inspetor, a convite da Siemens/Trench, para acompanhar inspeção técnica (ensaios de tipo e de rotina conforme padrões internacionais) de unidades protótipos de fabricação Trench, aplicados em setores de 69 kV a 500 kV, no campo de provas da Trench e no Laboratório Shenyang Transformer Institute Co., Ltd Transformer Laboratory, durante o período de 16 de junho a 21 de julho de 2014, na cidade de Shenyang, China. É revisor de periódicos da SOBRAEP - Eletrônica de Potência (Impresso), e International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, e IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, e IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, e Electric Power Components and Systems, e IET Power Electronics, e IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, e IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Automação Eletrônica de Processos Elétricos e Industriais, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Eletrônica Industrial, Acionamento de Máquinas Elétricas, Sistemas Elétricos de Potência, Sistemas de Controle, Instrumentação e Automação. Was born in São Luís-MA, Brazil, in 1979. He has technical/professionalizing courses in Electrotechnical and received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Center of Technological Education of Maranhão, São Luís-MA, Brazil, in 2004. M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Campina Grande, Campina Grande-PB, Brazil, in 2006, and 2010, respectively. Since July 2010, he has been with the Coordination of Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Piauí, Teresina, Brazil, where he is now an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering Course. He also worked as Maintenance Coordinator of the University Hospital of the Federal University of Piauí, Teresina-PI, Brazil, from 2011 to 2013. By invitation of Siemens/Trench, he was in China to participate in technical inspections (type and routine tests according to international standards) about types of equipment of Siemens/Trench manufacture, in voltage levels of 69 kV to 500 kV. The inspections were done in the Trench factory and Shenyang Institute Co. laboratory, during the period of 16 June to 21 July 2014, in Shenyang, China. He is a reviewer of the journals SOBRAEP - Power Electronics (Printed), International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, and Electric Power Components and Systems, and IET Power Electronics, and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics. His research interests include Power Electronics, Power Systems, Control Systems, Industrial Automation and Instrumentation, and Electrical Drives.
