Maria Teresa Borges Pimenta Barbosa

Maria Teresa Borges Pimenta is a Bachelor in Chemistry (Federal University of Uberlândia) and has a Master degree (2002) and Doctorate (2005) in Science in the University of São Paulo, with a period of sandwich doctorate in the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INP/Pagora), France. Post doctorate (2007) in the University of Girona, Spain. Works in the area of lignocellulosics since 1999. Researcher in the Brazilian Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory (CTBE) from 2009 to 2016, coordinator of the Laboratories of Process Development (LDP) and Analytical Center from 2011 to 2016 and head of the Green Chemistry research group from 2014 to 2016. Currently, works in the Technological Prospecting Team at R&D area of Suzano Pulp and Paper.

graduation at Bacharelado Em Química from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (1999), master's at Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (2002) and doctorate at Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (2005). Has experience in Chemistry, focusing on Organic Physical Chemistry, acting on the following subjects: sugarcane bagasse, celulose, carbon dioxide, bagaço de cana-de-açúcar and lignina.
