Gabriel Maltese Meletti de Oliveira

Gabriel Maltese Meletti de Oliveira has a double degree PhD (cotutelle) at the Brandenbourg University of Technology Cottbus-Seftenberg (Germany) and the Aix-MArseille Uiversity (France), dealing with hydrodynamic instabilities in stratified rotational systems, with applications to astrophysics and geophysical flows. He finished his five years bachelor in Mechanical Engineering at the State University of Rio de Janeiro - UERJ, and his masters at the University of Campinas - UNICAMP. He worked for two years as a consultant, involved in projects concerning the energy Brazilian and Latin American markets, covering distribution, transmission, generation and energy retail sectors, as well as energy efficiency projects for the industrial sector. Mr. Gabriel has previously worked at the Technological University of Delft, at the Kramers laboratory, in the field of experimental fluid dynamics, dealing with multiphase flow. Previously, did also work at Ipiranga Oil Products, on the development engineering division of the company; at CEPEL (Center for Electric Power Research) he worked with Computer simulation, measurements and extraction of experimental parameters of rotating machines; he was also part of two researched groups as an intern at the Brazilian Center for Physics Research ? CBPF, one in Nanotechnology and the other in cosmic ray physics. Gabriel did also study as exchange student at TU-Delft, in the Netherlands, and at University of Rome tor Vergata, in Italy. Gabriel is fluent in English, Portuguese, Italian and French.

Gabriel Maltese Meletti de Oliveira possui doutorado na área de instabilidade hidrodinâmica em escoamentos rotativos e estratificados, com aplicações em astrofísica e escoamentos geofísicos, com duplo diploma (cotutelle) na Aix-Marseille université (Franca), e na Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Seftenberg (Alemanha). Concluiu o mestrado em mecânica dos fluidos na Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP e a graduação em Engenharia Mecânica na Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Trabalhou durante dois anos como consultor em projetos na área de energia no Brasil e na América Latina, em temas como geração, distribuição e transmissão de energia elétrica, e consultoria de eficiência energética para a indústria. Anteriormente, trabalhou no Kramers laboratory da Delft University of Technology,na Holanda, em projeto na área de dinâmica dos fluidos experimental e escoamento multifásico. Também foi estagiário na área de engenharia de desenvolvimento da Ipiranga Produtos de petróleo e no CEPEL (Centro de Pesquisas de Energia Elétrica), onde lidou com simulações computacionais e testes experimentais em temas relativos a máquinas rotativas; Participou, ainda, ao longo de dois anos como bolsista de iniciação científica, de dois diferentes grupos de pesquisa do Centro Brasileiro de pesquisas Físicas (CBPF). Estudou como aluno estrangeiro de engenharia mecânica nas universidades de Roma ?tor Vergata? e na Universidade tecnológica de Delft, na Holanda e possui habilidades avançadas nas línguas Inglesa, italiana, e Francesa.
