Teresinha Barachini

Artist, researcher and professor at the Institute of Arts of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (IA-UFRGS). She works in the Graduate Program in Visual Arts (PPGAV UFRGS), in the research line Poéticas de Processos Híbridos (2020) as a teacher and advisor for master's and doctoral degrees. She is currently the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Visual Arts. In the current graduation in Visual Arts courses (DAV - IA - UFRGS) since 2013. PhD in Visual Poetics by the Graduate Program in Visual Arts (PPGAV | UFRGS) and Master in Arts with emphasis in Visual Poetics by ECA | USP. Degree in Plastic Arts Bachelor in Sculpture by IA | UFRGS. Between 2002 and 2012 she was a professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria-UFSM, working in graduation (Bachelor and Degree in Visual Arts) and in the Specialization Courses in Arts and Surface Design. Between 2016 and 2018 she was Head of the Visual Arts Department at IA | UFRGS. She is currently a member of the State Council of Education of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and a representative of DAV-UFRGS at the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Porto Alegre. Representative at the Graduate Chamber of UFRGS. Member of ANPAP. Publisher of PORTO ARTE Magazine since 2017. Holds solo exhibitions and organizes and participates in group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad since 1998. As leader of the Object and Multimedia Research Group-CNPq, she has organized a series of cultural events in the field of Visual Arts and correlated publications in specific periodicals, as well as in books and catalogs of Visual Arts. As an artist and researcher, she is currently developing a research project involving poetic approaches and sensitive three-dimensional sculptures / objects, considering their material and virtual presentations and possible interactions with the other (subject) and with the urban space. She uses locative media as one of her poetic resources to explore urban spaces in order to reframe maps (geolocation) in virtual environments via GPS. Entre 2002 a 2012 foi professora da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria - UFSM, atuando na graduação (Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Artes Visuais) e nos Cursos de Especialização de Artes e Design de Superfície. Entre 2016 e 2018 foi Chefe do Departamento de Artes Visuais do IA | UFRGS. Atualmente é membro do Conselho Estadual de Educação do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul e representante do DAV - UFRGS junto a Secretaria Municipal da Cultura de Porto Alegre. Representante junto a Câmara de Pós-Graduação da UFRGS. Membro da ANPAP. Editora da Revista PORTO ARTE desde 2017. Realiza exposições individuais e organiza e participa de exposições coletivas no Brasil e no Exterior desde 1998. Como líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Objeto e Multimídia-CNPq, tem organizado uma série de eventos culturais na área de Artes Visuais e publicações correlacionadas em periódicos específicos, bem como, em livros e catálogos de Artes Visuais. Como artista e pesquisadora desenvolve atualmente projeto de pesquisa envolvendo aproximações poéticas e esculturas/objetos tridimensionais sensíveis, considerando suas apresentações materiais e virtuais e as possíveis interações com o outro (sujeito) e com o espaço urbano. Utiliza como um dos seus recursos poéticos as mídias locativas para exploração dos espaços urbanos a fim de ressignificar mapas (geolocalização) em ambientes virtuais via GPS.
