Raúl Marín Prades

Raúl Marín recebeu a Graduação em Engenharia informática (1996) e doutorado em Engenharia (2002) pela Universidade Jaume I de Castellón (Espanha) . O tema do seu doutorado foi o desenvolvimento de um sistema baseado em telerrobótica via web, utilizando reconhecimento de fala , os ambientes virtuais 3D, determinação do agarre e realidade aumentada. Em 1996, ele trabalhou no departamento de multimídia do BYG Systems Ltd , Nottingham ( Reino Unido ) , como um desenvolvedor de software. Em 1997 , entrou para a Lucent Technologies (Bell Labs inovações) e trabalhou como pesquisador, desenvolvedor de software e software architect da Divisão de Acesso e Switching . Raúl Marín received a B.Sc. degree in computer science engineering (1996) and a Ph.D. in Engineering (2002) by the Jaume I University of Castellon (Spain). The subject of his Ph.D. was the development of a vision-based telerobotic system via web, by using object and speech recognition, 3D virtual environments, grasping determination, and augmented reality. In 1996 he worked in the Multimedia department of BYG Systems Ltd, Nottingham (UK), as a software developer. In 1997, he joined Lucent Technologies (Bell Labs Innovations) and worked as researcher, software developer and software architect at the Switching and Access Division. In 1999 he began to teach and research as professor at the Jaume I University. Now, he is professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Jaume-I University (Spain) and lectures Computer Networking, and Robotics in the same university. His research interests lie mainly in Field robotics, Rescue and Underwater, including subjects such as Localization, Networks of Sensors and Actuators, Object Recognition, Internet Telerobotics, and Education. He is author or co-author of multiple research publications on these subjects.
