Rafael Rossi de Mello Brandão

Atua como pesquisador no Projeto CAS em uma parceria entre o Instituto Tecgraf da PUC-Rio e a Petrobras, liderando uma equipe de P&D no desenvolvimento de uma infraestrutura de software para experimentação de sistemas de Captura & Acesso (C&A) ubíquos. Doutor em Informática pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2010 - 2014) com ênfase em Sistemas Distribuídos, Sistemas Ubíquos juntamente com HCI e Engenharia Semiótica em colaboração com o Grupo de Pesquisa em Engenharia Semiótica (SERG). Trabalhou como consultor multimídia para Quantum Brasil (2010 - 2011, 2013 - 2014) em um projeto para desenvolvimento de liderança de executivos. Mestre em Informática pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba, UFPB (2009-2010) em DTV e Sistemas Multimídia. Trabalhou como pesquisador no Laboratório de Aplicações de Vídeo Digital (LAViD / UFPB, 2008-2010), como engenheiro de software na MOPA Embedded Systems (2007-2008) e Dynavideo Software Development Center (2008-2009), onde desenvolveu middlewares e outros sistemas distribuídos. Bacharel em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN (2006). Tem experiência na área de redes de computadores, sistemas embarcados, sistemas multimídia, dispositivos móveis, middleware, design e modelagem de componentes. Recentemente, se atreveu a entrar no campo da pesquisa qualitativa, juntamente com IHC e Engenharia Semiótica.

Works at the CAS Project in a partnership between the Tecgraf Institute at PUC-Rio and Petrobras, where acts as R&D leader developing an infrastructure for ubiquitous Capture & Access systems experimentation. Holds a Ph.D. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2010 ? 2014) on Informatics focused on Distributed Systems, Ubiquitous Systems along with HCI and Semiotic Engineering in collaboration with the Semiotic Engineering Research Group (SERG). Has worked as researcher at the Digital Video Applications Lab (LAViD/UFPB, 2008-2010), as software engineer at MOPA Embedded Systems (2007-2008) and Dynavideo Software Development Center (2008-2009), where have developed middleware and other distributed systems. B.S. in Computer Science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, UFRN (2006). Has experience in computer networks, embedded systems, multimedia systems, mobile devices, middleware and component modeling. Recently, dared to step into the field of qualitative research, along with HCI and Semiotic Engineering.
