Sara Lucía Colmenares Trejos

My research interest is the relationship between plants and environment and how they respond, both in physiological and ecological ways, to the world that surround them. I am strongly interested in research projects related with the interaction between plant physiology and ecosystem level processes and with changes in the environment associated with the whole plant responses.

Possui Mestrado (2013) e Doutorado (2017) em Ciências Biológicas com ênfase em Ecologia pela UFRJ. Tem experiência na área de ecologia funcional, ecologia de comunidades e fisiologia vegetal. Bióloga pela Universidade Nacional de Colômbia (2007). Foi pesquisadora no Centro de Investigação de Palmeira Africana (CENIPALMA) (Colômbia, 2008-2011) na área de Fisiologia e Bioquímica. Durante o mestrado e o doutorado trabalhou com ecologia de comunidades e ecologia funcional dentro do bioma da Mata Atlântica brasileira, em habitats de afloramento rochoso, e com palmeiras de interior de floresta ao longo de gradientes topográficos e ambientais.
