Annerose Engel

Annerose Engel holds a degree in Psychology (Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, 2004) and received her doctoral degree in natural sciences (Psychology) by the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany (2008). She was working in the Music Cognition and Action group of the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Neurosciences, in Leipzig, Germany (2008-until now) and realized a cooperation project in the Netherlands with the Social Brain Lab of Prof. Christian Keysers (Netherlands Insitute of Neuroscience, Amsterdam, The Netherlands), which was supported by the German Research Foundation (2009-2011). Since 2012 she is working at the D'Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR), Rio de Janeiro, in the group of Dr. Jorge Moll and in 2013 she is supported by the foundation FAPERJ (Fundação Carlos Chagas Filho de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro). Her research topics address questions on the Neuroscience of Music (perception, action and emotion) while she is applying a variety of methods ranging from behavioral measurements to different neuroimaging methods.

Annerose Engel é psicóloga graduada pela Technische Universität Dresden, Alemanha (2004) e doutora em ciências naturais (psicologia) pela Philipps-Universität Marburg, Alemanha (2008). Ela trabalhou no grupo Music Cognition & Action no Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Neurosciences, em Leipzig, Alemanha (2008-2012) e realizou um projeto de cooperação na Holanda com o Social Brain Lab, do Prof. Dr. Christian Keysers (Netherlands Insitute of Neuroscience, Amsterdã, Holanda), apoiada pela German Research Foundation (2009-2011). Desde 2012 ela trabalha no Instituto D'Or de Pesquisa e Ensino (IDOR), Rio de Janeiro, no grupo do Dr. Jorge Moll Neto, ajudando na orientação de estudantes (doutorado, mestrado, graduação, iniciação cientifica) de vários projetos atualmente em andamento. Desde 2013 ela está apoiada pela FAPERJ (Fundação Carlos Chagas Filho de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro). As suas pesquisas estão focadas na área de Neurociênca da música (percepção, ação e emoção), utilizando métodos de neuroimagem (ressonância magnética funcional e estrutural) e de pesquisa de comportamento.
