Péricles Lopes Sant'Ana

Péricles Lopes Sant'Ana is Currently Professor at Federal University of Sao Carlos, UFSCar, he is graduated in Production Engineering at the Federal University of Viçosa - MG in August 2007, and completed Master's and Doctoral degrees in Materials Science and Technology at the State University of Sao Paulo (UNESP), from 2008 to 2014. Then he developed three months of Post-Doctoral activities at the Center for Microscopy and Microanalysis, linked to the National System of Nanotechnology Laboratories (SisNano). He then completed a postdoctoral year at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), gaining experience in the manufacturing and characterization of III-V films for SAW sensors for the Aeronautical and Aerospace Industry. He has experience in General and Experimental Physics, Nanotechnology, and Cold Plasma Technology for surface modification, working mainly on the following topics: Surface treatment by cold plasmas (vacuum system), physicochemical surface characterization techniques, thin film technology , packaging of polymeric food packages, Spectroscopic techniques such: X-ray diffraction, FTIR, UV-vis, X-ray diffraction, XPS, Raman and Ellipsometry, besides gas barrier evaluation and wettability, Electron Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy, mechanical tests and computer simulation. In the Management area, he is an ISO 9001-2008 Auditor and Consultant with experience in Project Management, Physical Arrangement, Production Planning and Product Design. Dr. Sant?Ana was awarded the best work presented in 2010 at the Brazilian Congress of Vacuum Applications in Industry and Science, and also, ongoing start up project among the 1000 best in Brazil according to Catalisa ICT in the year 2021. He has international experience in research, courses and scientific conferences, and in February 2022 he received his 100th certificate/diploma for completed courses. In 2022 he was invited in the training program (Internship and Faculty) of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA (National Administration of Aeronautics and Space) of the Federal government of the United States of America. Currently, he is Editor in Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Vacuum Applications (RBAV) and Cultural Executive Director of Brazilian Vacuum Society (SBV), Brazil. As of the beginning of 2022 he published more than 30 items: books, book chapters and full articles, and more than 30 technical works, including for Engineering services. He has accumulated 30 work presentations at scientific conferences (in South America and Europe), and over 1500 hours of complementary courses and training besides his experience with examining board and commissions.
Péricles Sant'Ana é Professor Visitante na Universidade Federal de São Carlos, UFSCar, Depto de Engenharia de Materiais. Foi Graduado no curso de Engenharia de Produção na Universidade Federal de Viçosa - MG em agosto de 2007, concluiu os Cursos de Mestrado e Doutorado em Ciência e Tecnologia de Materiais pela Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), no período de 2008 a 2014. Tem experiência em Física Geral e Experimental, Química, Nanotecnologia e Tecnologia de Plasma, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Dispositivos e sistemas de Processos a Plasma, Radiações e Interfaces, Engenharia de superfícies, síntese molecular e funcionalização, Tecnologia de filmes finos e revestimentos protetivos, Acondicionamento de embalagens alimentícias, sensores e sistemas nanoestruturados de identificação e atuação. Técnicas de caracterização de superfícies em escala nanométrica: Perfilometria, Molhabilidade a líquidos de prova, Microscopia Eletrônica, Microscopia de, Força Atômica, Espectroscopia Raman, Espectroscopia Óptica/Elipsometria, Difração de Raios-X e Simulação computacional. Nas áreas de Engenharias, Gestão e Negócios Internacionais fundou e dirige a Autônoma Marca e agência Ainana Records. Certificado pelo CREA-SP em 2015, possui experiência profissional em Arranjo físico, Consultoria e Gestão de Projetos, Planejamento de Sistemas Produtivos, de Processos, Serviços, e operações. Foi Diretor Executivo Cultural da Sociedade Brasileira de Vacuo e Editor chefe da Revista Brasileira de Aplicaçoes a Vacuo. Atualmente é o Engenheiro Chefe, Responsável pelo Projeto e implementação de Indústrias em série, idealizado pelo Centro de Apoio Brasil, CAB e fomentadas pelo Governo do Estado de São Paulo e pelo Governo Federal a partir do ínicio de 2023.
