Neil Andrew Brown
Neil Andrew Brown started his career at the University of Bath, where he obtained a Bachelor s Degree in Applied Biology (2005). During this time, he spent a year on industrial placement at Rothamsted Research in the UK and CATIE in Costa Rica, where he enhanced his plant and mycological molecular techniques. After completing the degree course, Neil Brown spent a year working for the British Council as an English Teacher in several Universities in Colombia. Upon returning to the UK, Neil Brown graduated with a Masters of Research Degree in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Imperial College London (2007), where he researched a viral disease of Phytophthora. Subsequently, Neil Brown undertook a Doctorate at Rothamsted Research and the University of Edinburgh (2012), a project that was performed in collaboration with Syngenta Crop Science and focused on Fusairum pathogenicity.
