Atualmente é pesquisadora de pós-doutorado investigando o efeito de fibras alimentares extraídas do mamão papaia no desenvolvimento do câncer de cólon no FORC (Food Research Center), com estágio no exterior na University of Maryland School of Medicine, investigando os efeitos anti-inflamatórios das pectinas no mamão papaia em organoides intestinais.
