Ricarda Riina

M.Sc. (2003) and Ph.D. (2006) in Botany by the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). She is a plant systematist and evolutionary biologist, currently based at the Real Jardín Botanico, CSIC (Madrid, Spain) where she is a researcher (Científica Titular). She is interested in Euphorbiaceae (mainly Croton and Euphorbia), tropical flora and biogeography, seasonally dry tropical forests, phylogenetics, phylogenomics and evolution. She is also a collaborator in the Máster en Biodiversidad en Áreas Tropicales y su Conservación program at RJB/CSIC and has supervised and mentored more than 30 graduate and undergraduate students.
