Fernando Hiroki Kozu

Fernando KOZU (1974). Graduado em Música pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL/1999), especialista em História e Filosofia da Ciência (UEL/2000) e mestre em Comunicação e Semiótica (PUC-SP/2003), com dissertação sobre a complexidade no pensamento composicional de Brian Ferneyhough. Foi coordenador do 1º. e 2º. Encontro Paranaense de Composição Musical (EPCOM-2010/2012). Em 2010 e 2012 foi contemplado com o Prêmio Funarte de Composição Clássica, da XIX e XX Bienal de Música Brasileira Contemporânea (Rio de Janeiro) e em 2021 foi selecionado na XXIV Bienal. Em 2011 foi finalista do 1o. Concurso Nacional de Composição Musical CCTG/OSP/UFPR, da I Bienal Música Hoje (Curitiba/PR), com obra para orquestra sinfônica. Em 2019 fundou o Grupo G.E.L. (Guitarras Experimentais Livres) e em 2021 participou do congresso internacional The 21st Century Guitar Conference: UNCONVENTIONAL APPROACHES TO PERFORMANCE, COMPOSITION AND RESEARCH, da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Atualmente é Professor Assistente do curso de Licenciatura em Música da UEL, atuando na área de Linguagem e Estruturação Musical e desenvolve pesquisa de Doutorado relacionada à composição, arte sonora, improvisação eletroacústica, guitarra experimental e haicais na Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). https://sites.google.com/site/fkoozu/home

He was coordinator of the 1st. and 2nd. Paraná Music Composition Meeting (EPCOM-2010/2012). In 2010 and 2012 he was awarded the Funarte Award for Classical Composition, from the XIX and XX Biennial of Contemporary Brazilian Music (Rio de Janeiro). In 2011 he was a finalist in the 1st. National Musical Composition Contest CCTG / OSP / UFPR, from the 1st Bienal Música Hoje (Curitiba / PR), with work for symphonic orchestra.
