Diego Calvetti holds a PhD from the Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. He has over 20 years of Project Management & Consultancy work experience in Engineering Projects (Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, and Building). He also holds an MSc in Industrial Construction (2016, Fluminense Federal University) and has been a certified Project Manager (PMP) since 2011.
He is operating in Research and Technological Development in the area of Engineering, with emphasis on the following topics: Project Management, Construction 4.0, Digital Twins, Digitalisation, Open-BIM, Data-driven Start-ups Projects, Workforce Build-Up-Skills and Circular Economy.
Member of the Human-Data Interaction (HDI) committee from EC3 (European Council on Computing in Construction), holding the management position of Secretary. He was a researcher in the GrowingCircle project for the Construction Institute (Portugal) and NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Diego Calvetti is currently a researcher for CERTI Foundation, working with Oil & Gas projects targeting Open-BIM and Digital-Commissioning interoperability.

Has experience in Civil Engineering, focusing on Constructive Processes, acting on the following subjects: dispositivos eletrônicos, electronic performance monitoring, produtividade, construção and bim.
