Anderson Priebe Ferrugem

Graduated in Bachelor of Computer Science from the Federal University of Pelotas (1997) and Master in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2004) and PhD in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pelotas (2022). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Pelotas. He has experience in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, working mainly on the following topics: Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Light Field Imaging, Computer Vision, Ambient Intelligence, AI in Health and Medicine, Robotics, Intelligent Controls for Buildings and Perceptual Interfaces. Professor Anderson Ferrugem has worked at the Federal University of Pelotas for over 24 years on Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence Tools, and Digital Image Processing. He has guidance work focused on these areas, in addition to research projects involving Ambient Intelligence, Smart Buildings, Light Field and Computational Vision applied to the field of dentistry.

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Informática pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (1997) e Mestrado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2004) e Doutorado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2022). Atualmente é professor Adjunto da Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, com ênfase em Inteligência Artificial, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Inteligência Artificial, Processamento de Imagens, Imagens Light Field, Visão Computacional, Ambient intelligence, IA em saúde e medicina, Robótica, Controles Inteligentes para Edificações e Interfaces Perceptivas. O professor Anderson Ferrugem atua na Universidade Federal de Pelotas a mais de 24 anos nas disciplinas de Fundamentos de Inteligência Artificial, Inteligência Artificial Avançada, Ferramentas de Inteligência Artificial e Processamento Digital de Imagens. Possui trabalhos de orientação voltados a essas áreas, além de projetos de pesquisa envolvendo Ambient Inteligence, Smart Buildings, Light Field e Visão Computacional aplicada a área de odontologia.
