Doutorando e Mestre em Artes Cênicas pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas ? PPGAC/UFBA. Pesquisa Teorias da Performance, questões de gênero e sexualidade, dança e tecnologia e cultura visual . Possui Bacharelado no curso de Dançarino Profissional e Licenciatura em Dança pela Universidade Federal de Bahia. Atualmente é professor da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia, no Departamento de Ciências Humanas e Letras onde ministra para o curso de Licenciatura em Dança disciplinas relacionadas com a criação coreográfica e técnicas corporais. Foi professor substituto do Departamento de Teoria e Criação Coreográfica da Escola de Dança da UFBA ministrando disciplinas de Processo Criativo, Prática Solística e Teoria da Dança. É diretor artístico do HIS - Contemporâneo de dança. Fundador do grupo Via Corpo Dance Research na Paradise Valley Community College. Coreografou para Desert Dance Theater(EUA), Flux Dance Project (EUA), Phoenix Experimental Arts Festival (EUA), Dance in the Desert Festival (EUA),Oficina Nacional de Dança Contemporânea (BRA), Mercado Cultural Latino Americano(BRA).Trabalhou como dançarino da Sapphire Moon Dance Company em South Carolina - EUA, Desert Dance Theater - Arizona, EUA e Ann Ludwig Dance Company - Arizona, EUA. Atualmente coordena o Grupo de Ações Performativas - Motus/GAP-M. Publicou o livro "Biscoitos Caseiros: Camp, Solidão e Homofobia na Internet" pela Editora Appris, 2015.
He has a Master Degree in Performing Arts with enfasis in Performance Studies. Holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Professional Dancer Course and a License in Dance Education from Federal University of Bahia, where he worked as a substitute professor in the Department of Theory and Choreographic Creation. Currently he works at Southwest Bahia State University as a Faculty Member of Department of Human Sciences and Letters and the Dance Colegiate. He is also the Artistic Director of the Contemporary Dance Group HIS. In 2001 was invited by the Department of Dance at ASU (Arizona State University) and the Center for Latin American Studies to do Collaborative Work in Choreography with graduate students. In 2003 he was warded a prize by the Cultural Foundation of Bahia to compose ?Cartas de Amor? (Love Letters), a work based on a Portuguese nun?s letters to a Military figure in the 17th century. He choreographed for Desert Dance Theater, Flux Dance Project, Phoenix Experimental Arts Festival, Dance in the Desert Festival, National Workshop of Contemporary Dance, Salvador, Brazil, Latin American Cultural Market, Salvador, Brazil. He also performed with ALudwig Dance Theater, AZ, Desert Dance Theater - Arizona, USA. He is one of the co-founders and Artistic directors of Via Corpo Dance Research of Paradise Valley Community College Phoenix, AZ. Worked as a performer for the Sapphire Moon Dance Company In Columbia, SC. Published the Book "Homemade Cookies: Camp, Lonliness and Homophobia on internet" by Appris Editors, 2015.
