Graduated in Physiotherapy from the State University of Londrina (1999). Post-Baccalaureate in Human Physiology from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR, 2001). Master's (2003) and PhD (2007) in Cell Biology, concentration area Physiology, from the Postgraduate Program in Cellular and Molecular Biology (UFPR), with training period in the Department of Physiology and in the Section of Cardiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC, USA). Post-Doctoral Fellow in Research at the Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, University of Illinois at Chicago (2017-2019). Worked as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology at the Federal University of Paraná. Served as Director of the Graduate Program in Physiology (2016-2020). His area of expertise in research focuses on cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology, evaluation and intervention in cardiovascular physiotherapy, and technological inovation in biological and medical education.
Possui graduação em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1999), Aperfeiçoamento em Fisiologia Humana pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR, 2001), Mestrado (2003) e Doutorado (2007) pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Biologia Celular e Molecular, área de concentração Fisiologia (UFPR), com período de treinamento no Departamento de Fisiologia e no Setor de Cardiologia da Universidade de Illinois em Chicago (UIC, EUA). Atuou como Pós-Doutor Associado em pesquisa no Departamento de Medicina, Setor de Cardiologia, da Universidade de Illinois em Chicago. Foi Professor Adjunto do Departamento de Fisioterapia da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte e atualmente é Professor Associado do Departamento de Fisiologia da Universidade Federal do Paraná. Coordenadou o Programa de Pós Graduação em Fisiologia - UFPR entre 2016-2020. Sua área de atuação em pesquisa foca a fisiologia e fisiopatologia cardiovascular, avaliação e intervenção em Fisioterapia cardiovascular e, inovação no ensino de ciências biológicas e médicas.
