He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Paraíba, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Pernambuco and a PhD in Tropical Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco. He maintains technical-scientific collaboration with researchers from various institutions in the country such as UPE, UFPE, UFRPE, UFAL, UFPB, UFRN, UFPI, UFS, UFAM, UNIVASF and FIOCRUZ. He has experience in the following areas: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Ethnopharmacology, Bioprospecting of Natural Products, Molecular Biology of Microorganisms. He works on the following topics: Phenotypic and molecular characterization of bacterial isolates, production of extracellular enzymes and biosurfactants, biological activities (antimicrobial, modulators, anti-inflammatory, anti-nociceptive, anti-ulcerogenic, anti-hemorrhoidal, antiophidic, healing, anticonvulsant, insecticide , among others) of metabolites (proteins, extracts, phenolic compounds, alkaloids, fixed and essential oils, among others).
