Francisco das Chagas Marques is Full professor at the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute, University of Campinas (UNICAMP), from where he received his Ph.D. degree in physics in 1989. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, visiting professor at the University of Utah, and visiting researcher at SCIRO, Melbourne. He has published over one hundred research papers working in the development and study of optoelectronic, structural, and thermomechanical properties of amorphous, microcrystalline, and nanostructured materials and in the manufacture of photovoltaic devices.
Professor Titular do Instituto de Física Gleb Wataghin - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Unicamp. Bacharel em Física pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1981); Mestre (1984), Doutor (1989) e Livre-Docente (1996) em Física pela Unicamp; Pós-Doutorado na Universidade Harvard, USA (1989-1991); professor visitante na University of Utah, USA (1998-1999) e pesquisador visitante na SCIRO (Austrália). Atua na área de Física da Matéria Condensada, em Energia Fotovoltaica, no estudo de propriedades optoeletrônicas, estruturais e termomecânicas de semicondutores amorfos e nanoestruturados para aplicações em células solares.
