Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Química (1990), graduação em Engenharia Química (1991), Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas (1997), Licenciatura em Geografia (2002), Bacharelado em Antropologia (2009) e Licenciatura em Ciências Sociais (2011), todas as graduações pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp). Possui mestrado em Ensino e História de Ciências da Terra (2010) e mestrado em Química (2014) pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas, bem como doutorado em Ensino e História de Ciências da Terra (2014) e em Química Analítica (2020) pela mesma universidade. Cumpriu estágio pós-doutoral em Geociências na Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal (2017). Atualmente é professor efetivo do Instituto Federal de São Paulo.

He completed a post-doctoral studies in Geosciences at the University of Aveiro, Portugal (2017). He is currently an full professor at the Federal Institute of São Paulo
