Marcelo Roberto Petry

Marcelo Roberto Petry holds a Ph.D in Informatics Engineering from the University of Porto(2013), and a B.Eng. degree in Automation and Control Systems Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2008). Since 2014 is Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Currently he is coordinator of the Robotics and Sensors Group of INESC P&D Brasil, collaborator at INESC TEC and researcher at the Robotics Group (GPROB / UFSC).

Marcelo Roberto Petry recebeu o título de Engenheiro de Controle e Automação pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (Porto Alegre, Brasil) em 2008, e de Doutor em Engenharia Informática pela Universidade do Porto (Porto, Portugal) em 2013. Desde 2014 é professor da Universidade Federal de Santa Cataria (Blumenau, Brasil). Atualmente atua como coordenador da área de Robótica e Sensores do INESC P&D Brasil, investigador colaborador do INESC TEC (Porto, Portugal) e pesquisador do Grupo de Pesquisa em Robótica (GPROB / UFSC). Suas áreas de interesse incluem robótica e visão computacional.
