Following completing my bachelor's degree in law, I decided to work in the area of Renewable Energies. In order to specialize in the subject, I studied the Master's degree in Energy Engineering and due to good university achievements, I was invited by professors to work as a consultant for private agents in new projects of generation in renewable energies, energy commercialization and disputes related to sector. The first international professional performance took place in London in an arbitration dispute between El Paso and Petrobras.Within the next few years, I was employed as a lawyer by influential company?s, I provided consulting services across the Energy, Environmental and Regulatory sectors. My work allowed me to demonstrate my extensive product knowledge of environmental matters concerning energy and power including judicial procedures and regulatory matters. My ability to adapt to different client groups presented me with the opportunity to travel and work within the UK where I forged and developed institutional relationship from within the Brazilian energy market. Having spent numerous years working in the Legal Profession, I found that my interests lay within search of a better understanding of multiculturalism and its influence on the various levels of technological, economic, environmental and energy development, the sabbatical functioned as a way for me to expand the vision of different relations between man and the environment and their use of natural resources. Initially, I spent a year living aboard a sailboat in Brazil. After a one and a half year of traveling around the world and after visiting 35 countries, it was possible to understand a little of the diversity of man's visions of the environment and its relationship with him.In addition, I had the opportunity to devote myself to volunteering at a children's school in Uganda (www.escolaemuganda.com.br) In this work, I had the opportunity to expose myself to the local daily life and to understand diverse demands of the community and I was able, therefore, to produce a documentary about the first phase of this educational project.Whilst I have been very lucky to work and travel, my recent sabbatical has restored my interest to work abroad again hence my application. I am keen to utilize all of my diverse skill sets whilst still being able to build upon my personal and professional platform. I hope that my next role/project will be focused on renewable energies or development of projects in infrastructure partnering with investors or companies interested in the Brazilian market.
