Graduated in Civil Engineering - Unama (University of Amazônia-2003), master's (2006) and doctorate (2012) in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa, in the Geotechnics area. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Federal University of São João del-Rei -CAP, in the Civil Engineering course and collaborating professor at the Federal University of Ouro Preto. He is Associate Editor of the international scientific journal-Soils and Rocks. He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ABMS). Works in the area of Geotechnics, with emphasis on Earth Works, Foundations, Field Tests, Slope Stability, Soil Mechanics and Engineering Geology.

É Editor Associado do international scientific jornal-Soils and Rocks. É membro da Associação Brasileira de Mecânica dos Solos e Engenharia Geotécnica (ABMS). Atua na área de Geotecnia, com ênfase em Obras de Terra, Fundações, Ensaios de Campo, Estabilidade de Taludes, Mecânica dos Solos e Geologia de Engenharia.
