Graduated in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (1981), Master's in Inorganic Chemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (1989), PhD in Polymer Chemistry - University of Manchester (1996), and post-doctorate - University of Manchester (2001). She coordinated an exchange agreement between the Federal University of Ceará and the Universities of Manchester in the United Kingdom and Tübingen in Germany for undergraduate, postgraduate, and professors. She carried out work assignments at the University of Manchester (2006-2020), at the Max Planck Institute, in Mainz, Germany (2011 and 2012), and at the University of Tübingen, in Tübingen, Germany (2011, 2012, 2013, 2018 and 2019) and at the International Nanotechnology Laboratory-INL-Braga-Portugal (2013-2017). She is a Full Professor at the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). She acted as coordinator of the UFC Chemistry Bachelor Course (2004-2007) and the UFC Night Chemistry Degree Course (2007-2008). Head of the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry (2019 and 2021). Member of the executive committee of the Central Laboratory/Central Analytica project (2007-current). Member of the Examining Board with a view to the vertical functional progression from the Assistant Professor class, level IV, to the Associate Professor class, level I, and other horizontal progressions, of the professors assigned to the Science Center. Winner of the IEL-SEBRAE-CNPq-BITEC-2006 award, in the Teacher-Advisor category. Participated in the creation of the Semi-Present Chemistry Degree Course (UFC Virtual Institute) (2007). She was vice-coordinator of the UFC Virtual Institute (2007-2012) and coordinator of the same Institute in 2012. Member of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Low Angle X-Ray Scattering linked to the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (2010-2014). Member of the collegiate of the Graduate Program in Chemistry. Research Productivity Scholarship 1C from CNPq. She guides scientific initiation, master's, doctoral and postdoctoral fellows. She supervised 49 Master's Dissertations, 28 Doctoral Theses and 11 Post-Docs (UFC), in addition to having supervised about 63 scientific initiation projects. His research is related to the synthesis and characterization of new block copolymers, used as nanocarriers, in the preparation of nanostructures in nanobiotechnology and as solubilizers of drugs that are not soluble in aqueous media. Member of INCT-Edital No 15/2008, Title: Instituto de NanoBioEstruturas & NanoBioMolecular Simulation coordinated by Prof. Dr. Benildo Sousa Cavada. She took office as an Effective Member, as an Academician at Academia Cearense de Química on January 23, 2013. She recently coordinated the project approved in the Research Cooperation Program between Brazil and Germany -CAPES/DAAD (2018-2020). In 2021, a partnership was started with the University of Geneva - Switzerland (École de Pharmacie Genève-Laussane - Université de Genève - UNIGE). She currently coordinates the UFC's Analytical Center.

Estabeleceu convênio de intercâmbio entre a Universidade Federal do Ceará e as Universidades de Manchester no Reino Unido e Tübingen na Alemanha para estudantes de graduação, pós-graduação e professores. Realizou missões de trabalho na Universidade de Manchester (2006-2020), no Instituto Max Planck, em Mainz, Alemanha (2011 e 2012) e na Universidade de Tübingen, em Tübingen, Alemanha (2011, 2012, 2013, 2018 e 2019) e no Laboratório Internacional de Nanotecnologia-INL-Braga-Portugal (2013-2017). É Professora Titular do Departamento de Química Orgânica e Inorgânica da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). Atuou como coordenadora do Curso de Bacharelado em Química da UFC (2004-2007) e do Curso de Licenciatura em Química Noturno da UFC (2007-2008). Chefe do Departamento de Química Orgânica e Inorgânica (2019 e 2021). Membro da comissão executiva do projeto Laboratório Central/Central Analítica (2007-atual). Membro da Banca Examinadora com vistas à progressão funcional vertical da classe de professor Adjunto, nível IV, para classe de professor associado, nível I e demais progressões horizontais, dos docentes lotados no Centro de Ciências. Vencedor do prêmio IEL-SEBRAE-CNPq-BITEC-2006, na categoria Professor-Orientador. Participou da criação do Curso de Licenciatura em Química Semipresencial (Instituto UFC Virtual) (2007). Foi vice-coordenadora do Instituto UFC Virtual (2007-2012) e coordenadora do mesmo Instituto em 2012. Integrante do Comitê Consultivo Científico de Espalhamento de Raios-X a Baixo Ângulo vinculado ao Laboratório Nacional de Luz Síncrotron (2010-2014). Membro do colegiado do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Química. Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa 1C do CNPq. Orienta bolsistas de iniciação científica, mestrado, doutorado e pós-doutorado. Orientou 49 Dissertações de Mestrado, 31 Teses de Doutorado e 13 Pós-Docs (UFC), além de ter orientado cerca de 63 projetos de iniciação científica. Suas pesquisas estão relacionadas com a síntese e caracterização de novos copolímeros em blocos, utilizados como nanocarreadores, na preparação de nanoestruturas em nanobiotecnologia e como solubilizantes de fármacos não solúveis em meio aquoso. Tomou posse como Integrante Efetivo, na Condição de Acadêmica da Academia Cearense de Química em 23 de janeiro de 2013. Coordenou recentemente o projeto aprovado no Programa de cooperação em pesquisa entre o Brasil e a Alemanha -CAPES/DAAD (2018 -2020). No ano de 2021, iniciou-se uma parceria com a Universidade de Genebra - Suíça (École de Pharmacie Genève-Laussane - Université de Genève - UNIGE). Atualmente coordena a Central Analítica da UFC. Foi agraciada no Edital Funcap no 01/2022-Mulheres na Ciencia.
