Yuri Gomes Lima

is Assistant Professor at the Universidade Federal do Ceará. He obtained his bachelor degree in Mathematics at the Universidade Federal do Ceará (2006) and master's degree in the same institution. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics at the Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) in 2011. From 2011 to 2016, held postdoctoral positions at IMPA, The Weizmann Institute of Science, The University of Maryland, and Université Paris-Sud 11. He has expenrience in Mathematics, with emphasis on Dynamical Systems, Ergodic Theory, Combinatorics, and Probability. Between 2018 and 2020, was a holder of a Royal Society-Newton Advanced Fellowship. In 2021, obtained honorable mention in SBM Prize of best paper. Currently, is Regular Associate of ICTP and grantee of Instituto Serrapilheira with the project "Jangada Dinâmica".

É professor adjunto da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Possui Bacharelado em Matemática pela Universidade Federal do Ceará no ano de 2006, Mestrado em Matemática pela mesma instituição em 2008 e Doutorado em Matemática pelo Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) em 2011. Fez estágios de pós-doutorado no IMPA, The Weizmann Institute of Science, The University of Maryland, e na Université Paris-Sud 11. Tem experiência na área de Matemática, com ênfase em Sistemas Dinâmicos, Teoria Ergódica, Combinatória e Probabilidade. Entre 2018 e 2020, foi grantee da Royal Society-Newton Advanced Fellowship. Em 2021, foi menção honrosa no Prêmio SBM de melhor artigo. Atualmente, é Regular Associate do ICTP e grantee do Instituto Serrapilheira com o projeto "Jangada Dinâmica".
