Cláudia Batista Mélo

Cláudia Batista Mélo has a degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (1996), a master's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1998) and a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2007). Currently, she is an full professor of the Department of Clinical and Social Dentistry and of the Professional Master's Degree Program in Gerontology at the Federal University of Paraíba, serves as a consultant/evaluator of the National System for Evaluation of Higher Education of the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP/MEC), is a journal evaluator (Research, Society and Development; Brazilian Journal of Geriatrics and Gerontology) and is part of the editorial board of Brazilian Journals - Publications and Publisher. She is part of the International Study and Research Group on Aging and Social Representations (GIEPERS/UFPB). She has experience in the areas of Computer Science, Management, Interdisciplinarity, Education, Health and Evaluation of higher education. She develops projects, mainly, with emphasis on the following themes: Information and Communication Technologies in Health, Dentistry, Educational Technologies, Humanization of Health Care and Gerontology.

Cláudia Batista Mélo possui graduação em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (1996), mestrado em Ciências da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1998) e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2007). Atualmente, é professora Titular do Departamento de Clínica e Odontologia Social e do Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Gerontologia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, atua como consultora/avaliadores do Sistema Nacional de Avaliação da Educação Superior do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP/MEC), é avaliadora de periódicos (Research, Society and Development; Revista Brasileira de Geriatria e Gerontologia) e faz parte do conselho editorial da Brazilian Journals - Publicações de Periódicos e Editora. Faz parte do Grupo Internacional de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Envelhecimento e Representações Sociais (GIEPERS/UFPB). Tem experiência nas áreas de Ciência da Computação, Gestão, Interdisciplinaridade, Educação, Saúde e Avaliação do ensino superior. Desenvolve projetos, principalmente, com ênfase nos seguintes temas: Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação em Saúde, Odontologia, Tecnologias Educacionais, Humanização do Cuidado em Saúde e Gerontologia.
