Evandro Menezes de Carvalho

Professor Associado da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) na área de Direito das Relações Internacionais e coordenador do Núcleo de Estudos dos Países BRICS da UFF. É também professor pesquisador adjunto de Direito Global da FGV Direito Rio. Doutor em Direito Internacional pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP), com doutorado sanduíche na École Doctorale Concept et Langage da Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV). Foi Senior Scholar na Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE - China) tendo sido um dos 10 nomes selecionados para o Programa do China Scholarship Council em parceria com a Organização dos Estados Americanos para o período 2012-2014. Senior Foreign Expert do Center for BRICS Studies da Universidade Fudan (Xangai, China - 2014-2015) no âmbito do High-end Foreign Experts Recruitment Program, implementado pelo State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, da China. Foi professor do MBA em Negócios Internacionais da Universidade de Shanghai (2015-2017) no âmbito do National High-end Foreign Expert Program e professor visitante da School of Government and BRICS Cooperation Center da Beijing Normal University (2017). Em 2016 participou do Programa Ponte ao Futuro: Plano de Formação de Mil Dirigentes Jovens China-América Latina e o Caribe, projeto lançado pelo Presidente Xi Jinping em 2015 durante o Fórum China-CELAC. Em 2018 foi selecionado para o Visiting Program for Young Sinologists promovido pelo Ministério da Cultura e Turismo da China e pela CASS e organizado pelo Centro Internacional de Comunicação Cultural da China e pela Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Em 2019, foi uma das 14 personalidades estrangeiras selecionadas pela Xinhua News para o documentário Light of Wisdom - Belt and Road. Em 2020, foi um dos vencedores do prêmio The Light of Civilization - 2020 Chinese Cultural Exchange Annual Figures and Institutions, outorgado pelo Guosheng Think Tank, China Cultural Exchange Network, One Belt One Road Cultural Communication and Economic Development Task Force, e One Belt One Road Professional Committee of China Business History Society. É membro fundador da World Association for China Studies (WACS), da CASS. Membro do World Council of Sinologists do Belt Road Research Institute of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) e do International Steering Committee do Global Young Leaders Dialogue, do Center for China and Globalization e da Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies (ACCWS). Fundador da Rede Brasileira de Estudos Chineses (RBChina) e membro da Coordenação Estadual das Relações Brasil-China da OAB-RJ. Foi Vice-Diretor da Academe of BRICS Laws da Southwest University (Chongqing, China). É consultor da revista China Hoje, publicação da China International Communication Group e Editora Nastari. Em 2017 recebeu o prêmio internacional de 3o lugar por artigo publicado pela China Radio International. Em 2023 recebeu a Cruz do Mérito da Fraterna Integração Brasil-China, pelo Congresso Nacional. Recebeu em 2011 o Faculty Enrichment Award no âmbito do Canadian Studies Programs apoiado pelo Department of Foreing Affairs and International Trade do Canadá (Dfait/Maeci). Foi Pesquisador visitante da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Montreal (Canadá) e professor visitante da Radzyner School of Law, em Herzliya (Israel), em 2012. Foi Presidente da Associação Brasileira de Ensino do Direito (ABEDi) por dois mandatos (2010-2014). É membro do Corpo Permanente da Câmara FGV de Mediação e Arbitragem e foi consultor do China Desk do Veirano Advogados (2018-2022). Graduado em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1998) e Mestre em Integração Latino-americana pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2001). Foi bolsista da Ryoichi Sasakaw Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF - 2003) no doutorado, bolsista da CAPES no Mestrado (2000) e PIBIC na Graduação.

He was Senior Scholar at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SHUFE) with the support of the Organization of American States and China Scholarship Council Program (OAS-CSC Program 2012-2014) and Senior Foreign Expert at Center for BRICS Studies at Fudan University (2014-2015). He was Visiting Professor at Shanghai University under the Recruitment Program of High-end Foreign Experts (2015-2017) and Visiting Professor at the School of Government of the Beijing Normal University (2017). In February 2015, Mr. Carvalho was one of the 60 foreign experts, including two economists awarded the Nobel Prize, which were invited to take part in the Meeting of Consultation of Foreign Experts with the Premier LI Keqiang. In 2016, he took part in the Program of Young Leaders from Latin America, a project launched by President Xi Jinping in 2015 during the Forum China-CELAC and in 2018 he was selected to the Visiting Program for Young Sinologist led by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and organized by the China International Cultural Communication Center and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). In 2019, he was one of 14 foreign experts selected by Xinhua to have his life story with China told in the documentary "Light of Wisdom - Belt and Road", broadcast by CCTV Prime Time. In 2020 he was one of the winners of the The Light of Civilization 2020 Chinese Cultural Exchange Annual Figures and Institutions award, organized by Guosheng Think Tank, China Cultural Exchange Network, One Belt One Road Cultural Communication and Economic Development Task Force, and One Belt One Road Professional Committee of China Business History Society.
